Rachael Walsh is a writer, director and dramaturg from the North East of England. She has worked with companies across the country including Live Theatre, ODDMANOUT, Alphabetti Theatre, National Youth Theatre, Shakespeare Schools Foundation, Curious Monkey, Mortal Fools and The Customs House.

Rachael studied improv with School of Improv in Newcastle and attended the Gaulier School in Étampes. She performs regularly with Spontaneous Wrecks and Open Heart Theatre.

Her first short film Stiff was an official selection at the Boston Women in Comedy Festival 2017 and the NYC Comedy Short Film Festival 2018.

Most recently she was recently commissioned by New Creatives North to write and direct a short film. White Dwarf is currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
